THANKS TO 50 STATE – OF – THE – ART KAWASAKI BI-LEVEL COMMUTER CARS, Maryland Mass Transit Administration is moving more people, faster. As the first to achieve FRA certification to run at 125 Mph on Northeast Corridor tracks, the cars are giving customers a faster ride and providing relief for the Maryland Rail Commuter (MARC) system, which has long been strained for capacity.

The new Commuters transport passenger on the MTA’s Penn, Camden and Brunswick lines running northeast and northwest from Washington, D.C., and include C- cars ( cab cars with restrooms), E&H – cars ( trailers cars with restrooms), S- cars ( trailer cars with Snack bars), and T- cars ( Trailers cars without restrooms or snack bars).

For MARC, the Key benefits are the Kawasaki car's capacity and Speed . Overall, Waters Stresses, "It Means we can make more productive use of our rolling stock”.
