Kawasaki Rail Car, Inc. DBE Goal

Kawasaki's, in accordance with regulations of the U.S. Department of Transportation, 49 CFR Part 26, announces its DBE goal for FFY 2015 is 11.15%, for the period beginning October 1, 2014 and ending September 30, 2015.

 

M-9 MBE/WBE Outreach

For the M-9 Contract, MTA Department of Diversity & Civil Rights (DDCR) established a 10% MBE and 10% WBE goal, and Kawasaki is requesting proposals for MBE/WBEs certified by Empire State Development, Division of Minority and Womenˇ¦s Business Development (DMWBD) and listed in the State Directory.

Kawasaki to Supply M-8 Passenger Rail Car for Metro-North and State of Connecticut.

Kawasaki has been selected to supply M-8 passenger rail cars for MTA Metro-North Railroad and State of Connecticut. Current Contract is for Base order of 210 cars and Option order of 90 cars for total of $713 million.

 

Received Contract to Repair Passenger Rail Cars for Connecticut

In March 2006, Kawasaki Rail Car, Inc. (KRC) was awarded the contract to Repair Thirty-Three (33) Passenger Rail Cars from the State of Connecticut.

(KRC), today stated that, on behalf of the hundreds of Kawasaki employees throughout the United States, the company is deeply honored to be awarded the Port Authority Trans-Hudson Corporation (PATH) contract to build 340 new PA-5 series subway cars that will serve the New York and New Jersey mass transit riding public for decades to come.

 

New Addition to Hyogo Works Integrates the Manufacture of Rolling Stock Parts

Kawasaki has completed construction of a new rolling stock parts plant within its existing Hyogo works, which is the hub of Kawasaki's rolling stock operations.
