It begins with on-time delivery. We delivered our first newly designed bi-level commuter car to the U.S. market just 17 months from the day the contract was awarded by the Massachusetts Bay Transit Authority. And Kawasaki's reputation for delivery and reliability of subway cars to the New York City Transit is second to none.

Kawasaki's policy is to track, analyze and report reliability to the customer and suppliers. We initiate immediate corrective action as necessary to achieve maximum reliability by car, by system, and by component. Our Quality Department has the tools and resources to react quickly and efficiency to enforce corrective action and resolve problems before they become endemic to our fleet. The results show that our system is working. Kawasaki Rail Cars have the best Mean Distance Between Failures (MDBF) and Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF) in the industry.
